LightCone - Spontaneous micro events to meet new people app for iPhone and iPad

LighCone is a simple app that allows you to create events in the spur of the moment and invite others to join you. It works like this:

When creating events: you are having coffee with a friend, watching a game, or just walking around the city, and you’d like to meet someone new. You post a little event and people then pick it up on their phones and can request to join you.

When attending events: the app scans nearby events that you can sort by time or distance and ask to join.

Events are typically short in duration from 30 minutes to a few hours, and can’t be scheduled too far in advance.

The app emphasizes spontaneity and privacy: you can’t see people’s names or photos before they join you, just a small intro message. It is made to push us to get out of our comfort zone and truly meet the world around us, without preconceptions.
